Firefighters have been sold out
Firefighters throughout the country should be campaigning for a Recall Conference to hold Andy Gilchrist and the rest of the executive to account. We have been lied to from the very start but what really appalls me is that Gilchrist knew back in October that we were unlikely to receive the full 7% on November 7th.
So
why did he wait so long to tell us? So that there would be no time to
organise an opposition to a deal that Gilchrist and the rest of the
Exec sold to us as the only possible solution. We are now left trying
to defend a settlement that was untenable in the first place. Thanks
a bunch Andy. I will vote against the deal even though I know it is
futile because I'm damned if I'm going to play this rediculous New Labour
game any more.
