The government’s plans to expand Heathrow Airport have succeeded in one respect. They have created a veritable mass movement in opposition to the proposed third runway and new terminals. An investigation by the Sunday Times earlier this year showed that the government colluded with BAA to bend the facts to fit the case for building the new Runway.
