Peyoti launches new single
The launch of Peyoti for President's new single "We The People" was an amazing evening of music, poetry and politics at the Cross Kings. A documentary showed the how the firefighters, medics, national guardsmen and policemen who were first to arrive on the scene at the World Trade Centre on 9/11, and that Bush so hypocritically claims as American heros, are being left to suffer with no pensions and no recognition of their medical condition - bone diseases, respiratory problems, and cancers. Then there was a series of knockout performances. As well as Peyoti, Sarah Bear, Zap, Tony, Sean Redmond, DJ Jamie Renton and others, threw down some avant-garde artistic and political challenges to the world of the dull.
